Martin Reyes – Industrial Designer

Designed and managed the production of bespoke retail furniture for Revor, a Chilean paint manufacturer. The project involved developing reception furniture, product displays, shelving systems, counters and multifunctional fixtures for showcasing paints, finishes and related products. The furniture was primarily constructed from hardwood plywood, with additional elements including tempered glass, MDF and laser-cut components.

The different pieces of furniture manufactured were designed for sample stands and the sale of paint-related products. As I mentioned before, the material used was hardwood plywood. The advantage of this material  is that it’s economical and strong.

Another piece of furniture manufactured for this project was a shelving rack to display sandpaper. It has 9 shelves in which sandpaper for wood and iron with grit numbers from 80 to 5,000. In addition, shelves were made to hold paint in 3.5 litre containers.

The worktop box is a multifunctional piece of furniture, as it can be moved to different parts of the shop to display different products. This shop in general is fitted with simple furniture to recreate the feeling of a warehouse and has polished concrete floors.
